Privacy Policy
1. What this service is
SolaBox lets you browse, search, and play series and films, keep local history and favorites, and download episodes after you sign in. Ads may be shown to keep the current version free of a paid membership. This website is the developer site for support, privacy, and terms.
2. Information we collect
The amount of information depends on how you use SolaBox.
- Account. If you register or sign in, we process the email address you provide, password credentials stored by our servers in hashed form, and Apple Sign In tokens if you choose that method. You may later bind an email or Apple ID to the same account.
- On-device library. Watch history, resume position, favorites, download files and queues, language and subtitle preferences, cache, and similar settings are stored primarily on your device. The current version does not sync history or favorites to the cloud.
- Device and diagnostics. The app may send app version, device model, system version, crash logs, and product analytics events through Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics so we can keep the app stable.
- Advertising. Short ads are served through TradPlus and its advertising partners. If you allow App Tracking Transparency, an advertising identifier may be used for more relevant ads. If you decline, ads can still appear in a less personalized form.
- Region signals. Network and system locale signals may be used to decide whether SolaBox is offered in your region.
- Support mail. If you write to us, we receive the address you use, the message, and any device details you include or that the app copies for you.
- This website. The static pages here do not require an account. Your hosting provider or browser may still process standard request logs such as IP address and user agent.
3. How we use information
- Operate sign-in, playback, downloads, and region availability.
- Remember your local library and preferences on the device.
- Measure stability, fix crashes, and understand aggregate feature use.
- Show ads and, when you choose, rewarded ads that add watch time or download quota.
- Reply to support requests and protect the service against abuse.
4. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to run SolaBox:
- Infrastructure and catalog partners that deliver titles you request.
- Apple, if you use Sign in with Apple.
- Google Firebase for analytics and crash reporting.
- TradPlus and advertising networks that fill ad placements.
- Authorities when required by law, or to protect users and the service.
5. Retention
Account records stay until you delete the account or we close it for policy reasons. Local history, favorites, downloads, and cache remain on the device until you clear them or remove the app. Diagnostic and ad logs follow the retention practices of those providers. Support mail is kept only as long as needed to handle your request.
6. Your choices
- You can use much of the catalog without an account. Downloads and some account features require sign-in.
- You can change language, subtitle order, Picture in Picture, and background audio in the app.
- You can clear cached images and network data, remove history or downloads, and delete your account. Account deletion is permanent and clears related local library data.
- iOS Settings control tracking permission, notifications, and whether Mail is available for support.
7. Children
SolaBox is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided information, write to us and we will delete it.
8. International processing
Servers, analytics, and advertising partners may process information in countries other than your own. Where we offer the app, we do so under this policy and applicable law, including region blocks where the service is not available.
9. Changes
If this policy changes in a material way, we will update the date above and post the new text at this URL. Continued use after the update means you accept the revised policy.
